In 1987 I was in Ft. Lauderdale in college taking physics, calculus, etc., and I needed something fun to do. I always wanted to try diving so I signed up. I never thought I would LOVE it!
What caused you to make the leap from amateur to dive professional?
I had known some Divemasters personally and about 2009 after taking the deep and wreck specialty courses in Roatan my buddy and I decided to take the next step and become Divemasters.
Favorite class to teach?
Although the most challenging, Basic Open Water
Favorite dive destination?
Several, but I'd have to say Chuuk Lagoon
What is your most beloved critter to spot under the waves?
Octopus
What is your “must have” piece of dive equipment?
Some type of camera
Favorite non-diving activity?
I play USTA tennis
Favorite post-dive treat or beverage?
Ice cold Margarita
Any advice you’d like to offer divers new and old?
Every time I took an additional course in diving (I have several specialties) I loved this sport even more. Keep learning and stay engaged. It just keeps getting better, and you'll feel more connected with other divers.
