Nancy Willson
Tell us your origin story!
I have always loved the ocean even being born and raised in Colorado. I got certified in 2015 and never looked back, I completed my Divemaster in 2018. My first dive trip was to Curacao with One World, which inspired me even more.
What caused you to make the leap from amateur to dive professional?
After completing my Divemaster I just wanted to learn more. I plan to start my Instructor Course next year.
Favorite class to teach?
TBD, but I really want to teach kids.
Favorite dive destination?
Galapagos and Fiji.
What is your most beloved critter to spot under the waves?
I love any sort of Ray, the Manta Rays being my favorite.
What is your “must have” piece of dive equipment?
My camera. I love sharing the amazing world underneath the water that I am blessed to enjoy.
Favorite non-diving activity?
I love boating and camping. And spending time with my kids and grandbabies.
Favorite post-dive treat or beverage?
Obviously a Coke and Snickers are where it’s at.
Any advice you’d like to offer divers new and old?
1. You got this, 2. Sharks are more scared of you, they don’t want to eat you, and 3. Relax and enjoy the amazing under water world. It’s a beautiful place.
