Tell us your origin story!
I’ve always been fascinated with life under the waves! Growing up, I would watch the ‘Shallow Seas’ episode of Blue Planet on repeat. It wasn’t until 2017 that I finally got the chance to become a diver and the experience was better than I could have ever imagined!

What caused you to make the leap from amateur to dive professional?
I never considered becoming a dive professional until I spent some time with the wonderful instructors at One World! Their leadership and encouragement helped me decide to begin my Divemaster training in 2018.

Favorite class to teach?
My favorite class to teach is Emergency First Response. As a former EMT, I love watching students gain confidence and realize they really can make a difference in someone's life. No one should feel helpless in an emergency situation.

Favorite dive destination?
My favorite dive destination has to be the Marquesas Islands. I love the lush landscapes, unique diving, and the remoteness.

What is your most beloved critter to spot under the waves?
Gotta be Fairy Basslets or Yellow Boxfish! Fairy Basslets have the most beautiful purple and yellow coloration and Boxfish just make me laugh!

What is your “must have” piece of dive equipment?
I never dive without a good headband and some leave-in conditioner. I need some serious help taming my hair!

Favorite non-diving activity?
When I’m not diving, you can find me in the garden or enjoying some of our Colorado mountains with my Australian Shepherd, Ripley.

Favorite post-dive treat or beverage?
Always end a day of diving with Swedish Fish and a salty marg.

Any advice you’d like to offer divers new and old?
Dive, dive, dive! Between dive trips, come hop in the pool or take a continuing education course! Remember: If you don’t use it, you lose it.
